XS Espresso is looking for Cafe/Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager for their Preston and Moorebank locations.
You will take charge of the day-to-day operations of XS to ensure we continue to deliver our high service standards and that all our employees are provided with the training and support to excel in their roles.
Key responsibilities for the Role:
• Responsibility for day-to-day financial transactions including achieving a budget, till reconciliation and daily banking
• Set and manage weekly staff rosters
• Staff recruitment and selection including interviewing and training
• Daily reporting and communication with owners and ensuring seamless transitions between shifts
• Providing appropriate service to customers, handling compliments and complaints.
• Generally overseeing the restaurant functions and resolving any issues, reporting to the owners where necessary.
• Ensuring Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures are followed by all staff.
• Building team culture and skills through ongoing training and development, and provision of feedback.
• Adhering to Franchise agreement and manuals to ensure high standards achieved.
• Performing of weekly stocktake and ensure correct rotation and ordering of stock in conjunction with kitchen staff. Check stock once it arrives. Prepare weekly wastage report.
Qualifications/Skills
• At least 2 years experience in a busy restaurant/cafe
• Experience in busy restaurant environment managing multiple stakeholders
• Attention to Detail and Excellent communication skills
• Positive can-do attitude
