The Star Care Group, one of Western Australia's leading providers of Community Support and in-home disability support, is actively seeking an experienced Assistant Workforce Roster Administrator to join our diverse team as a result of business growth. This position plays a vital role in assisting The Star Care Group in delivering essential services to our participants while ensuring efficient service provision. As a member of our team, the Assistant Rostering Officer reports to the Rostering Officer and Client Coordinator, and plays a crucial role in ensuring that our staffing aligns with the specific needs of our participants.

The Rostering Officer/Scheduler establishes strong relationships with both The Star Care Group's staff and clients, facilitating effective communication through phone and face-to-face interactions to address roster-related matters. We are looking for a candidate who is bright and full of energy, solution-oriented, data-driven, possesses a keen eye for detail, and excels in communication.



Key responsibilities of this role include:

- Creating, updating, and publishing the roster on a fortnightly basis.
- Maintaining accurate shift notes.
- Overseeing the organizational rostering process by managing roster templates, rolling over employee rosters, and handling daily shift swaps and changes.
- Ensuring timely fulfilment of shifts.
approving timesheets for payroll processing.
- Providing guidance to our Senior Leaders regarding our Industrial Relations obligations and recommending efficient and cost-effective rostering models for the organization.
- Maintaining precise and timely documentation.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including Support Workers, Clients, Service Coordinators, and Management
- Responsively and effectively managing employee queries concerning their rosters.
- Fulfilling any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
- Notify the management immediately of any reportable incidents and take appropriate action in incident reporting.
- Create calendars for clients to roster their activities and share them with support workers after approval by Client Coordinator
- Receiving calls from our clients and support workers.
- Available after hours by telephone as required and prepared to be available to take calls over weekends
- There will be training and ongoing support provided by the team.

What we're seeking with our successful candidate:

- Strong prioritization skills, with a proven ability to manage workloads to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Proficiency in problem-solving, including root cause analysis.
- Minimum of 1 years experience in scheduling or rostering for an NDIS provider
- Understanding of the disability framework
- National Police Clearance
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (can obtain upon appointment)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate (can obtain upon appointment)
- Proven experience in effective incident reporting
- Highly organised and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Thorough working knowledge of the SCHADS Award
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication to interact with a wide range of internal employees, participants, their families, carers, community agencies, and other professionals.
- Enthusiasm and positive engagement with both employees and participants
- Understanding of professional boundaries, privacy, and confidentiality issues
- Strong technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products and data management systems
- A proactive approach to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and participants
