Total Remuneration: AUD 117,615.82 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation on the base salary
Location: International Terminal 1, 747 Airport Drive Mascot NSW 2020
Position: Full time. Permanent

Our client, Air India, provides domestic and international air transport services for both passengers and cargo. The client is currently seeking experienced individual to join in the position of Airport Manager based at Sydney Airport, to be employed on a full-time basis.

The Airport Manager will organise and control the Air India operations to transport passengers and regular liaison with all airport stakeholders. As the Airport Manager, you will be responsible for Airport operations, taking charge in leading a team is your main responsibility.

The Airport Manager will manage work health and safety, public safety standards and manage emergency situations if they arise. The Airport Manager is to carry out their role by displaying and promoting the desired work culture expected around the Air India core values of Integrity, Respect, Honesty and displays the strict adherence to commitments all times.

In this role your main responsibilities include
• Supervise and motivate team to make sure passengers are handled in a friendly, useful and professional way
• Manage the planning and execution of the daily transportation requirements
• Develop, implement & manage the daily transport operating & administrative functions
• Work within and contribute to the development of Air India policies and procedures as they relate to transportation
• Ensure the business operates in a secure, safe, healthy working environment at all times
• In case of delays, ensure that all pax are intimated about delay and appropriate disruption management plan is implemented
• Liaise with customer service team to ensure all customer delays or issues are communicated in a timely manner
• Ensure that all staff accessing aircraft are security cleared, and Security Agents make relevant records
• Optimise fleet utilization and maintenance requirements
• Effective resource planning in line with volume expectations
• Lead the development and training of the transport planning team
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to deliver efficiency
• Getting the best out of your team to provide passengers with the best experience possible at the airport
• Perform occasional physical checks to establish and ensure that the load distribution in the aircraft reflects the distribution shown in the load sheet and load Instructions
• Ensure compliance with Air India and Australian legislation for the safety and ensure compliance with local OHS requirements

Minimum Criteria
• Relevant qualification at the level of a bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized university
• At least 5-10 years of years of relevant work experience ideally within the aviation Industry
• Experience in the management of large scale, diverse workforce in a highly regulated environment
• Proven understanding and knowledge of aviation industry and related transport requirements
• You must also have an adequate knowledge of all local, national and international airport affairs requirements and be conscious of any new law pertaining to airport affairs
• Important skills include administrative analysis, financial planning and computers skills to handle affairs gadgets, software programs and other technologies

Remuneration Include:
Base Salary: $79,479.82 per annum
Accommodation: $35,760 per annum
Mobile Allowance:$1,800
Laundry Allowance:$576
Superannuation: 11.5 % of the base salary
