Roster: Rotating weekly roster (includes weekend rotation, approx. 2 days per month)

Salary: $73,150 - $80,000

We are committed to maintaining high standards of service and are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Officer to join our team at our Camberwell Head Office. This role supports our retail, wholesale, and food service operations, ensuring seamless customer communication, order processing, and relationship management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Answering incoming calls, emails and messages, and assisting customers with their specific inquiries.
Identifying requirements and recording information into computer systems.
Arranging the despatch of goods, information kits and brochures to customers and interested parties.
Undertaking clerical duties, such as faxing, and filling out paperwork, and liaising with other departments associated with completing the customer contact.
Issuing invoices and receiving electronic payments for goods and services provided.
Creating further interest in goods and services by offering customers more information about goods and inviting customers to use services on offer.
Records and coordinates the flow of work between departments, examines orders for goods, and prepares production schedules.
Monitors stock levels and maintains stock, order and inventory records.
Receives and processes incoming orders for goods and services from inside or outside an organisation
Identifying items and containers of incoming and outgoing shipments and verifying them against consignment records
Ensuring outgoing shipments are in good condition and meet specifications
Arranging internal distribution of goods received
Organising the dispatch of goods with completed documentation
Maintaining prescribed records of goods received and dispatched
Examining shipping documents and verifying cargo to be released
Recording customs clearance requirements and authorising collection of cargo
Receiving details of outgoing cargo, and arranging bookings of freight space and collection of goods from customers
Providing information to customers on custom tariffs, tariff classifications and concessions, and methods of clearing goods
Manage customer inquiries via phone and email
Accurately process customer orders to meet tight deadlines
Investigate and resolve customer issues
Perform general administration and customer service tasks
Conduct data entry with a high level of accuracy

Skills and Experience:

Minimum 2 year work experience in customer service or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in a cohesive team environment
Experience collaborating with key business stakeholders
Background in orders, logistics, customer service, or administration
Exceptional attention to detail with efficient and accurate data entry skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook
Inventory and logistics experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications:

Relevant qualifications in business or customer management.
Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
Candidates must be eligible to work in Australia without any ongoing work restrictions
