Salary $73,000 per year
ADELITA WINE BAR PTY LTD is looking for a full time VM to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment and must be able to work independently as well as within a team.
Daily responsibilities include:
Job Functions and Key Responsibilities: (Major responsibilities and target accomplishments expected of the position including the typical problems encountered in carrying out the responsibilities)
Responsible for recruitment and selection, inductions, training and supervision.
Staff development and retention (Mentoring your Bar Manager in general profitability of the business e.g. financial, stock control duties etc.)
Skills development of staff (hands-on mentoring)
Effective rostering to promote efficiency and productivity without compromising quality
Adherence to National Employment Standards and Awards including breaks, overtime, hours of work.
Lead by example
Responsible for positive morale and maximum productivity for your team
Carry out regular performance discussions with staff, documented but not necessarily formal appraisals
Discipline staff where necessary, always addressing issues front on
Focus on a positive culture within the team
Promote positive inter-department relations with BOH and Director
Implement systems and procedures that support the business goals
Mandatory requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food and nutrition desirable but not essential
- Relevant qualification and/or experience.
- Good communication skills
- Leadership and time management skills
- Attention to details
- Ability to work well in a team and in a fast-paced environment.
