What you'll do in this role
- Produce high quality code that allows us to put solutions into production
- Work closely with clients and other team members to understand client requirements and conceptualize solutions to meet them effectively
- Work on complex, custom-designed, scalable, multi-tiered software development projects
- Focus on software application development, code reviews and design reviews
- Be responsible for the quality of software and resolve any issues pertaining to the software solution
- Identify problems, suggest solutions and prepare detailed reports for the management
- Improve the development and delivery process through the introduction of new techniques and changes to the development/deployment process
- Ensure all compliance requirements are met and that all processes, policies and procedures required for the performance of the job are strictly followed
- Provide support to clients through the installation and initiation process and play key role in promoting solution adoption
- Work in small pizza-teams of 2-5 people where a well-founded argument holds more weight than the years of experience.
- Work with customers across domains like retail, banking, publishing, social, education, adtech and more
- Work in short sprints to deliver working software
- Mentoring and coaching of junior team members
Skills you’ll need
- Bachelor / Masters of Computer Sciences or an equivalent degree from an accredited university
- 5+ years of software development work experience
- Deep understanding of programming fundamentals and expertise with multiple programming languages such as Typescript, Scala, Python, Java, Golang, Elixir, .Net, Nodejs, Rust.
- Experience with one or more source control and build toolchains
- A nuanced and rich understanding of code quality, maintainability and practices like Test Driven Development
- Working knowledge of CI/CD will be an added advantage
- Understanding of web APIs, contracts and communication protocols
- Understanding of Cloud platforms, infra-automation/DevOps, IaC/GitOps and Containers
- Understanding of design and development of large data platforms
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to different situations
