Main Role Summary
The role of the Qualified Stylist is to provide professional salon services and expert advice, delivering an exceptional client experience every time. Consultation is the tool for providing outstanding personal recommendations and creating a salon experience that clients will talk about! The goal is to grow a strong base of returning clients through excellent cuts, colour, and hair care, including hair treatments, product recommendations, and pre-booked return visits.
Duties
• Deliver professional salon services and advice relating to cutting, colour and styling
• Protect client’s hair integrity by recommending bonders, treatments and home care regimes
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service in accordance with the Client Experience Standards
• Provide energetic and positive client focused services at all times, nurturing a professional rapport to build client loyalty by prebooking all clients
• Cooperate fully with all team members to ensure that the salon is functioning efficiently to deliver growth results
• Maintain hygienic cleanliness of all tools, stations and salon space
• Assist the team with answering the phone, welcoming clients, and completing client service sales
• When not engaged with a client, actively seek to assist team members with cleaning, call backs, client refreshments and support the retail team as needed
• Ensure adherence to National Marketing Campaign requirements in the salon with correctly displayed promotional materials and merchandising
• Keep up to date with hair and beauty trends to deliver on-trend advice to clients
• Attend company training sessions as needed.
Skills Required
• Diploma in Hairdressing
• Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Professional presentation, make-up and hair on trend
• Ability to maintain a high level of organisational and time management skills and work under pressure in a busy salon environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong client relationships
• Ability to maintain a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to work in a changing environment
• Ability to work both individually and as an essential member of a focused and productive team
• Ability to meet and exceed set sales targets and service goals
• Ability to build a strong salon managed client base through self-promotion and corporate marketing
• Ability to uphold salon standards during normal daily routines and training
• Ability to work to set policies and procedures
• Ability to demonstrate positivity and creativity
