Position: Management Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in formulating and implementing budgetary and accounting policies.
- Prepare financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and statutory bodies.
- Conduct financial investigations, prepare detailed reports, and undertake audits.
- Provide advisory services on financial matters such as mergers, capital financing, insolvency, and taxation.
- Analyze operating costs, income, and expenditure to optimize financial performance.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial reports with statutory requirements.
- Offer financial and taxation advice on business structures, operational plans, and strategies.
- Prepare taxation returns for both individuals and organizations.
- Liaise with financial institutions to establish and manage funds arrangements.
- Introduce and maintain accounting systems, advising on the selection and implementation of computer-based accounting solutions.
- Maintain and strengthen internal control systems.
- Evaluate cash flow and assess the financial risks associated with capital investment projects.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, with significant exposure to corporate environments.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting practices, taxation laws, and financial management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
