One of our clients, Kilara Partners, based in Wangaratta, VIC, needs an experienced and skilled candidate for Accountant role. This is a full-time position for the right applicant.
Position Tasks -
• Formulating Budgetary and Accounting Policies: Developing guidelines and standards for financial planning and record-keeping.
• Preparing Financial Statements: Creating reports, including balance sheets and income statements, for stakeholders like boards of directors, management, and shareholders.
• Conducting reports and Investigations and Audits: Analyzing financial records, preparing detailed reports and offering advice on complex financial matters such as business transactions, fraud investigations, and insolvency.
• Examining Costs and Revenue: Reviewing and analyzing an organization’s expenses and income to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Ensuring Compliance: Verifying that financial reports are accurate and meet statutory requirements.
• Providing Financial and Tax Advice: Offering guidance on business strategies, tax planning, and financial operations.
• Preparing Tax Returns: Completing and submitting tax documents for individuals and businesses.
• Implementing Accounting Systems: Setting up and maintaining both manual and computer-based accounting systems.
• Maintaining Internal Controls: Ensuring that the organization’s internal financial controls are effective and secure.
• Evaluating Investment Risks: Assessing the financial risks and potential returns of capital investment projects.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting.
• Experience of 1-2 years in a related position.
• You must have full working rights in Australia.
Salary - $73,000 - $74,000 plus super
