Facility Maintenance Coordinator

Sodexo is currently seeking a suitably qualified and highly motivated Facility Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at our mine site at Gove, Nhulunbuy, NT.

Reporting to the Regional Manager this position is local on a 5:2 roster working 10hours per day. Housing will be provided for the right candidate. Contract is for 12 months with the potential to extend.

Who are we looking for?  

  • Ability to drive a zero harm culture through proactive safety leadership and display a true value for safety
  • Extensive experience in maintenance works management in a remote environment
  • Sound understanding of mines and statutory regulations
  • Knowledge of scoping, planning and supervising packages of work
  • Ability to foster a positive & productive working relationship and culture between the team members and other departments
  • Leadership to coach, review and develop trade personnel to ensure their skills are optimised to their full potential

Duties:

  • Coordination & Supervision of maintenance staff and client sub-contractors
  • Coordinate, plan & schedule work as required SOW
  • Engagement of Client approved suppliers, tradespersons subcontractors
  • Monitor, track and report on adherence to budgets, Dashboards and client expectations/KPIs
  • Ensuring the facility maintains a high-level maintenance and appearance. Ensure subcontractors are stocking required assets & materials to meet works requirements
  • Assess potential new works that may be required on site.
  • Coordinate and supervise client subcontractors -Adhere to occupational health and safety and injury management regulations (as per Rio Tinto Aluminium and Sodexo Remote Sites Policy and Procedures). Complete site & document compliance
  • Maintaining a sound understanding of contractual obligations and meet customer expectations under the agreement.
  • On a monthly or as required, report to the client with respect to the financial, qualitative, contractual engage works with subcontractor.
  • Attendance at weekly/monthly meetings with client to assess current progress and prioritise repairs
  • Schedule weekly meeting with Sub-contractors & Support officer to review completed works & prioritize outstanding works
  • Review quotes and proposals and ensure value for money maintenance solutions.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities general & comprehensive, preventive, reactive confirming safe work practices, work quality, fit for purpose, and adherence to scope.
  • Complete quality & audit reviews of completed work activities to ensure works are completed in line with agreed scope

Qualifications

  • Degree qualification / Trade Certificate
  • Front line Management Certification
  • CPR Certification (desirable)
  • First Aid Certification(desirable)
  • White card
