A Regional Council is offering an exciting opportunity for a diligent and motivated individual to work as a Construction Supervisor. The successful applicant will oversee workshop operations. This position provides the chance to work with a diverse range of equipment that supports the Council's work on behalf of the community.
Your new role
Manage traffic control measures, including sign placement, cone, and barricade setup, and directing traffic as needed
Performing manual labour tasks, such as lifting, digging, raking, and shovelling construction materials
Ensure the construction and/or maintenance team is working safely and efficiently.
Monitor and control budgets and costs
Conduct daily inspections of equipment and machinery to identify and report any faults or issues
Lead regular toolbox talks to discuss safety, progress, and other important topics with the team
What you'll need to succeed
Must have a minimum of 4 years' experience in civil construction and/or maintenance
Certificates of competency or licences for operation of various road construction plants
Previous recent experience supervising construction works
Must hold a minimum of an MR QLD Driver's licence
Must have a QLD construction card
Supervisory experience is a must
Certificate III in Civil Construction - desirable

If you are selected for this role, you'll be moving to a quaint rural town in Queensland to oversee a small workshop. The package includes relocation support, accommodation for the initial 3 months of your contract, and reduced rent thereafter. Additionally, you'll receive 5 weeks of annual leave, 15 days personal leave with a 17.5% loading, 12% superannuation, a locality allowance, a tool allowance, and a work car for business purposes.
