Looking for:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team. As a Speech Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans, empowering individuals to enhance their communication abilities and improve their overall quality of life.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in individuals across various age groups.
• Assess and diagnose clients' hearing loss using various techniques, including audiometric tests.
• Document assessment results and refer clients to medical practitioners as necessary.
• Recommend solutions for hearing impairment, such as amplification, implantable devices, medical interventions, and assistive listening devices, and implement aural rehabilitation programs.
• Offer counseling, advice, and information to clients and their families as part of their overall treatment plan.
• Assist in developing and implementing noise control and hearing conservation strategies.
• Conduct standardized and informal tests and observe clients to determine the nature and severity of their communication disorders or swallowing difficulties.
• Provide treatment and management for speech, language, learning, and communication disorders, whether developmental, related to a disability, or acquired due to injury or illness.
• Provide guidance on body positioning and food and fluid textures to help individuals eat and swallow safely, preventing choking incidents.
• Educate health professionals, early childhood educators, teachers, and provide support and counseling to individuals and their families affected by communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy services, employing evidence-based techniques and interventions. Focus on improving articulation, language development, voice production, fluency, and swallowing function as appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and educators. Communicate effectively to ensure coordinated and holistic care for individuals receiving services.
• Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, exercises, and activities to support therapy goals. Provide information on home programs and resources to facilitate carryover of skills outside of therapy sessions.
• Regularly assess and document individual progress through objective measures and subjective observations. Adjust treatment plans as needed to meet evolving therapeutic goals and address emerging needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant documentation. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Skills and Attributes: -
• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or in related field.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist.
• Current state licensure as a Speech Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Job Type & Salary: -
• This is a full-time permanent job.
• The base salary will be AUD 80,000- AUD 90,000.

Working Hours: -
Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
