Will's Nails - Hair & Beauty in Shepparton Victoria is looking for energetic, passionate and motivated qualified Hairdresser to join their creative, friendly salon on a fulltime basis.
The Role
As a Hairdresser, you will be competent and confident in all aspects of hairdressing including colouring, cutting and blow drying, possesses friendly personality, excellent customer service skills, great communication skills, creative, quick learner, well-groomed and well-presented. You will demonstrate a passion for working and willing to work flexible hours in a friendly, supportive team in a happy and professional work environment.
This is a full-time role with an annual salary between $73,500 - $75,000, depending on experience plus superannuation.
Responsibilities
Cut and trim hair according to clients' instructions and/or current hairstyles, using clippers, combs, hand-held blow driers Hot rollers, curling irons.
Consult with clients and advise them on what would look best for their personal style, then determine which services they require to get the look they want.
Analyse the facial features, hair and unique needs of every client to determine and recommend beauty treatments for the hair and face.
Encourage clients to take better care of their hair with beauty products from the salon that are higher quality and make colour and style last longer.
Style the hair with Hot rollers, curling irons, etc…
Curl, colour, or straighten hair, using special chemical solutions and equipment.
Bleach, colour and tint hair using applicator or brush
Hair Cutting - Offered wet styling, thermal styling, permanent waving and hair relaxing services.
Shampoo, rinse, condition and dry hair and scalp or hairpieces with water, liquid soap, or other solutions.
Apply water, setting, straightening or waving solutions to hair and use curlers, rollers, hot combs and curling irons to press and curl hair.
Adhere to Salon’s safety and cleanliness standards, clean and sanitize tools and work environment, maintain the workplace area with OH & S policies
Managing bookings and welcoming clients into the store
Requirements
In order to be shortlisted for this position, the right candidate needs to have:
Certificate III & IV in Hair dressing.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
At least 2 years’ experience in both male and female hairdressing
Must be experienced in hair cutting and colouring
Must be competent with a straight razor
Must have strong knowledge in colour theory and technique
Be motivated and enjoy working in a team
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
Skills in hair colouring, straightening, perming, curling, etc.
Be able to self-manage and work efficiently
Display an excellent attention to detail
Be able to handle pressure in a professional manner
Have positive past employment work references
Able to work on weekends
