About the Organisation
The charity On My Feet was established in 2015 and has a unique approach to addressing homelessness, by offering those who experience it – a hand-up of exercise, community, education and a pathway to employment. We recruit participants from shelters, who have the option of attending a variety of walks, runs and exercise sessions weekly. Surrounded by a network of caring, friendly volunteers and like-minded people, the exercise and connections help them experience improvements in their mental and physical health. Eager participants are entered into running/walking events and put on training programs which help with goal setting and confidence. We strive to match participants with suitable employment partners. Currently operating in Perth and surrounds, the program plans to expand to other states.
