About the Role  Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne is seeking a teaching and research academic for its Department of Civil and Construction Engineering. The role involves teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in sustainable civil infrastructure and digital construction engineering. Key areas of focus include construction management, materials, digital and transport engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction technology, digital construction, BIM, transport modelling, data analytics, and related fields. In addition to teaching, the position includes administrative responsibilities, such as developing and supporting academic programs, mentoring students, and supervising Honours and Master's by Coursework students. On the research front, the candidate will work in a collaborative environment to advance urban infrastructure and develop innovative technologies, contributing to the University's research excellence. Mentoring and supervising higher degree research students is also expected. About You   To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:  - Demonstrated ability, relative to opportunity, to undertake teaching and associated academic duties at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels - Demonstrated track record, relative to opportunity, in quality publications related to construction engineering, smart urban infrastructure or digital engineering - Demonstrated track record, relative to opportunity, in attracting and managing competitive research grants or direct industry funding - Demonstrated ability and involvement in research through collaboration with other universities, industry and/or government Further information about this role can be found in the attached position description.
