Job Overview
We are in the search for a dedicated full-time Plasterer to join our team. The successful candidate will be adept at working both independently and collaboratively within our dynamic team for medium to large local projects. Key Responsibilities:
• Surface Preparation: Measure and mark surfaces for plastering, ensuring precise and accurate preparation for applying plaster.
• Application of Plaster: Mix and apply coats of plaster, cement, or similar materials to interiors and exteriors of structures. This includes the application of base coats, finish coats, and decorative textures.
• Plasterboard Installation: Install plasterboard, insulation, and other wall linings, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
• Ceiling and Wall Repairs: Repair existing plasterwork, including filling cracks and holes, restoring damaged areas to their original condition.
• Moulding and Decorative Work: Create decorative plaster mouldings, cornices, and ornamental features as required by project specifications.
• Quality Control: Ensure all work meets company standards and complies with relevant safety regulations and building codes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople, project managers, and clients to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Relevant Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in plastering in Australian local business and projects, with a strong understanding of various plastering techniques and materials within Australian standards.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of plastering work.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Driver’s License: A valid driver's license may be required, as travel to various job sites may be necessary.
