Excellent opportunities exist for Geotechnical Engineer to join our Rockhampton office to work in a multi-disciplinary and professional environment driven by excellence and experienced in successful practical and innovative engineering applications
Duties and Responsibilities:
- collaborate with the Project Manager to manage fieldwork;
- supervise the drilling team and work closely with Project Manager to ensure smooth project execution;
- field analysis and reporting;
- review resourcing needs and communicate crew size requirements to meet customer demands;
- monitor site activities and identify further opportunities for the company;
- build and maintain positive relationships with clients;
- ensure that projects are conducted safely and to a high standard of quality;
- complete required safety and quality documentation and submit it as necessary; and
- support the supervisor/project manager in the day-to-day management of projects.
The successful applicant will possess:
- tertiary qualification in civil/geotechnical engineering
- at least 2 years of experience in the geotechnical field demonstrating practical application of knowledge
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
- the ability to work autonomously and in a team and collaborative environment;
- willingness and ability to travel to multiple job sites; and
- basic understanding of construction safety requirements
