Position: Accountant

Location: Scoresby, VIC

Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate in developing and refining accounting and budgeting policies tailored to our unique service offerings within the NDIS framework.
• Prepare financial reports for management and statutory bodies, ensuring they reflect our commitment to precision and compliance with legal standards.
• Conduct financial analyses and audits, provide advice on business transactions including acquisitions and potential fraud, and ensure financial practices support our mission of personalized care.
• Manage and scrutinize operational costs and income to maintain financial health and support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure all financial documentation complies with statutory requirements, offering a clear and accurate reflection of our financial status to stakeholders.
• Offer strategic financial and taxation advice to enhance organizational structure and operational efficiency, tailored to our services within the disability support sector.
• Prepare taxation returns, aligning with our commitment to compliance and fiscal responsibility.
• Establish and maintain robust financial relationships with institutions and brokers to optimize funds management.
• Implement and oversee accounting systems suited to our dynamic service offerings, advising on technological enhancements to improve financial operations.
• Maintain rigorous internal control systems to safeguard financial integrity and support our mission of exceptional care delivery.

Hours of Work: This is a full-time position requiring 38 hours per week.

Salary: The successful applicant will be offered a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation annually.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting.
