Salary: AUD 95000 to 105000 + 11.5% Superannuation

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Chemist (Technical Co-ordinator) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, with experience in product formulation, R&D, and quality control within the flooring industry. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for conducting experiments, analysing data, and managing external testing to support our product development and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum Master Degree/Research in Chemistry or a related field
• At least 6-8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the flooring or related industry

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a deep understanding of product formulation and chemistry
• Conduct research and development on flooring products, focusing on new product development and testing.
• Perform plasticizer migration studies in vinyl flooring using various adhesives.
• Design and execute experiments to assess the stability of flooring products.
• Develop and implement performance testing and quality control procedures.
• Manage external testing and certification processes to ensure product compliance.
• Maintain the laboratory, testing instruments, and inventory levels.
• Analyze and interpret data, engaging with suppliers to define and refine product specifications.

Skills and Personal Attributes:
• Proven experience in product formulation, R&D, and quality control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in the field of flooring chemistry.
