Disability Services Officer

Permanent Position Full Time
Salary Range: 70-75K depending on experience.
At Gold Coast Care Services (“GCCC”) our mission is to provide awesome, practical support to NDIS participants, and we do this by hiring awesome, practically minded support workers who can think outside the box and get things moving! We also believe a well-paid Support Officer/Worker, is one who comes to work focused on achieving goals.
Essential Criteria:
Ability to creatively develop an outstanding NDIS Plan strategy with participants and carers and support its implementation.
Experience in working with people with disabilities and their carers.
Knowledge of Disability Inclusion Act & Disability Service Standards.
Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Skills & Experience we need from you:
• A positive attitude
• Ability to implement behaviour support plans
• Prior exposure to industry compliance under the NDIS
• Personal care and medical administration experience (desirable)
• Knowledge of Disability Inclusion Act & Disability Service Standards
• Understanding of restrictive practises (desirable)
• Experience with challenging behaviour (desirable)
• At least 2 years full time direct experience or equivalent experience.
