About the role
We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team on tropical Hamilton Island, Queensland. If you are a seasoned Refrigeration Mechanic looking to blend work with a tropical island vibe, Hamilton Island is your dream destination!
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems across our various resort facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the seamless operations and guest experience on this unique and beautiful island destination.
What you'll be doing
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on a diverse range of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration and systems, and implement appropriate solutions
Install new refrigeration and air conditioning units as required
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work carried out
Liaise with suppliers and contractors to coordinate the delivery of parts and services
Ensure all work is compliant with relevant standards, regulations and safety protocols
What we're looking for - You enjoy working with your hands, have great problem-solving and fault-finding abilities, technical skills in the maintenance, repair and installation of a variety of refrigeration and systems and, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (ARC)
Current Refrigerant Handling Licence
QBCC Mechanical Licence (refrigeration)
Restricted Electrical License
Valid manual Driver License, White Card, Current CPR/LVR
