Benefits Eligibility to be a part of the Company Incentive Bonus Scheme Task & Responsibilities The Assistant Accountant position is a diverse and varied role, working as part of an experienced Finance Team, where your career and development is supported. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the main responsibilities include: Completion of financial, ensuring compliance and accuracy in line with regulations and standards. Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports. Assisting the Financial Controller in the preparation of month end, mid-year and financial year end. Maintaining the internal company control systems. Management of Delegation of Authority, and implementation of company policies, procedures and accounting standard. Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers. Perform balance sheet reconciliations i.e. prepayments, accruals, stock provisions, and fixed assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance and preparing business activity statement. Participate in the improvement of accounting processes and procedures. Preparation and reconciliation of bank statements. Management of invoices, receipts, payments and financial transactions. Monitoring and managing company expenses. Assisting the Financial Controller with accounting tasks and special projects. Respond to accounting enquiries and provide support cross-divisionally. Record fixed asset acquisitions and disposals in SAP, and reconciliation of the fixed asset register to the general ledger. Management and enhancements of Yokoy (internal staff expense system). Manage company assets and suppliers, including premises, company cars, and utilities providers. Qualification & Experience Required Skills and Experience Tertiary qualification majoring in accounting, finance or business Undertaking or completed CPA/CA studies 2+ years of experience in an Assistant Accountant position Strong knowledge of financial accounting MS Office, with Advanced Excel skills essential SAP and COGNOS experience essential Yokoy expense system and Cockpit experience desirable Excellent attention to detail Hard working, ambitious and keen to learn Excellent English language skills - both verbal and written About Company Connections between people, places, and networks.
