Position Overview: The Estimator will play a crucial role in supporting construction projects by working closely with Construction Managers, Architects, and Surveyors. This role involves a range of duties from planning and organizing to cost estimation and compliance inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
o Assist Construction Managers, Architects, and Surveyors with project planning and organization.
o Coordinate works programs to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
o Interpret and review plans, regulations, and codes of practice.
o Prepare preliminary sketches, working drawings, and specifications.
o Edit and revise plans, maps, charts, and drawings as needed.
o Inspect work and materials to ensure compliance with specifications, regulations, and standards.
o Calculate costs and estimate time scales for project completion.
o Perform routine computations and plot preliminary data to support accurate estimates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Proficiency in interpreting technical plans and specifications.
• Experience with surveying instruments and data collection methods.
• Strong ability to perform cost calculations and time estimations.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
