B’Churrasco is a Brazilian Restaurant situated in the heart of Melbourne CBD.

We are looking for a Chef to join our Traditional Brazilian BBQ Restaurant.

Our aim has always been to bring the best that Brazil has to offer in Melbourne. Serving tasty traditional food, cocktails, providing great service by our friendly and professional staff and entertaining our customers with unique kind of service called “Rodizio” where the waiters bring the meats and carving in front of the customer.

Be a part of a small team aiming to become one of Australia's best Brazilian restaurant. We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our lovely team. If you are passionate, friendly, honest and with an "I care" attitude, you belong with us!

A successful candidate will have:

• Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience and must have experience in all areas of the kitchen

• Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery & Diploma of Hospitality

• Display leadership qualities that will inspire your team of kitchen staff

• Reliable, motivated and passionate about producing quality food with excellent attention to detail and creativity

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness

• Remain professional, calm and helpful even under pressure

• Knowledge of Brazilian cuisine and culture is an extra

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to generate and assist in menu ideas

• A full working visa Successful candidate must be available days, nights and weekends across a 7-day rotating roster.

Our Chef must be passionate about food creation and have real input into the way the B’Churrasco kitchen is operated, you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Preparing meals by washing, peeling, and chopping fruits and vegetables and seasoning different kinds of meat.

• Preparing basic salads and sauces for meals, as directed by head chef.

• Preparing all the meal items to be presentable as instructed by head chef.

• Assisting head chef to improve menu based on seasonal produce

• Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items are received and are good quality.

• Stocktaking inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor when stock is low.

• Organise cleaning kitchen equipment and maintenance works among team and reports issues to senior kitchen crews.

• Always enforce strict health and hygiene standards and correct use of equipment and utensils.

• Full understandings of food allergies and intolerances to eliminate and reduce any health risk.

• Assist in an effective communication channel between the kitchen crews and kitchen manager.

• Provide full training and guidance to new kitchen crews and supervise subordinate kitchen crews in accordance with company standards
