We are currently seeking a highly skilled, knowledgeable, and professional Restaurant Manager to bring their high standards, ability and skills to create a perfect dining experience for our valued guests.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Support the restaurant daily operation
- Support in leading and training the restaurant team
- Planning menus in consultation with Chefs
- Planning and organising special restaurant functions
- Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
- Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
- Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
- Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
- Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff
- Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders
- Work on rotating shifts over breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner service
- Having a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items
- Ensuring that all relevant laws and regulations are upheld (RSA)
The successful candidate will possess:
- Experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5 star establishment for at least three (3) years
- Knowledge of OH&S and food hygiene standards
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and nights
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Inter-personal and communication skills
- Excellent beverage and cocktail knowledge
- Impeccable level of self-presentation and grooming
- Passion to provide a superior and welcoming customer service experience
- Australian National Police Clearance, no more than 3 months old
- Fully COVID-19 Vaccinated
