The team is led by Libby and alongside her are very highly motivated and professional management and care teams who provide care which stems from the heart. About You
We are currently looking for dedicated, motivated and passionate people to join our agency who will help us to continue to achieve our mission and positively represent StellarCare in the wider community. In turn, we will provide an environment where you will feel nurtured, supported and part of a cohesive team. There are several casual positions available, paid in accordance with the relevant award
Key Responsibilities:
• providing support at home with health issues and daily tasks of living such as washing, dressing, grooming, eating, shopping and transport
• waking clients and assisting them with personal care such as showering, dressing, feeding and help getting ready for educational and recreational activities.
• preparing/assisting with meal preparation
• assisting clients at their work
pathologists, nurses, doctors, and emergency response staff with client compliance
• assisting other health professionals with physical activities like hydrotherapy, music therapy or recovery therapy
• supervising medication intake from a webster packs.
• assistance with laundry
• transporting clients to appointments
• supporting clients with assistance in coordinating/ managing life stages and transitions such as short and long-term supports that focus on strengthening the participant's ability to coordinate their supports, and to assist them to live at home and participate in their community
• providing companionship to build confidence and social skills.
• assisting clients with essential money management skills like saving money for essential bills and grocery shopping
• provide aid in the promotion of a participant's mental and physical activities such as through communication and engagement, going out, reading, and writing, hobbies and recreation
• maintaining a clean, comfortable, safe, and secure environment for participants which may include undertaking light domestic duties or meal preparation
• developing strong trust-based relationships with participants and delivering person centered care and support
• supporting participants to meet their daily living and lifestyle requirements as per their care plan, including personal care and working with customers with complex and/or challenging needs
Essential Criteria
• Dedication and reliability
• Well-developed organisational and communication skills (written & spoken)
• Capacity to adapt to a variety of situations and work as part of a motivated team
• Must be able to work within the relevant Client guidelines
• Adhere to legislation and StellarCare's Policies and Procedures
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current CPR Certificate
• Clear NDIS Worker Screening Check
This position is Full Time - paid in accordance with the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award.
$75,000 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.
