Sitting within our Financial Management – Information & Governance team, the Associate Analyst is a multi-faceted role responsible for advancing, managing and safeguarding Griffith University’s financial integrity and security.
The Associate Analyst will apply their expertise and judgment to ensure compliance with regulatory and finance reporting requirements, working within the University Fraud and Corruption Control framework. They will provide detailed advice on internal finance policies, systems, controls, and processes and will work collaboratively with others to solve complex operational and transactional finance issues.
Specific tasks include:
- Timely and accurate processing of manual journal entry transactions, required for both financial and management reporting
- Maintenance of Griffith University’s finance system architecture, including ledger elements, user security and compliance checks
- Coordination and completion of the University's annual asset stocktake process
- Ensuring team and Finance documentation and webpages are up-to-date and accessible
- Usage and maintenance of team Robotic Process Automation processes
About you
You are guideline and timeline driven and love paying attention to the details. You are comfortable collaborating with other team members and the broader Griffith community. As this role is pivotal in impacting the experience of staff members’ when working with the Finance team, you will have an ability to provide consistently professional and positive customer experiences.
You will possess:
- Finance related degree and preferably obtained or in the process of completing a recognised accountancy qualification; or equivalent substantial relevant experience
- Proven experience and working knowledge of finance systems in large organisations
- Analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to problem solve
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

This is a continuing, full time position and will be primarily based at either the Griffith University Nathan or Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 5 range $76,236 - $85,525 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $89,197 - $100,064 per annum.
