What you will do:
Reporting to the National Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for administrating the rates and inventory levels for the business and supporting the greater revenue team with analytical and strategic insights. Key responsibilities include:
- Take the lead and support through NRMA campaign processes to achieve profitable outcomes
- Oversee the revenue and distribution strategy for portfolio of parks
- Perform competitive benchmark reviews and market trends
- Create and develop pricing strategies
- Provide hands on support of the Revenue Coordinator
- Assist in upskilling the team in techniques and processes in order to achieve improved productivity and financial outcomes
- Have a thorough understanding of NRMA Parks and Resorts weekly reporting including historical and trend reports, special events and seasonal demands
- Provide a weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons
- Manage and oversee strategy for 3rd party distribution
- Responsible for assessing, analyzing and pricing group business
- Complete monthly analysis of performance and provide a summary of recommendations to improve long term strategies
- Implementation of new rates and promotions
- Responsible for best practice standards to include competitor analysis, management of distribution, business mix, length of stay, inventory by channel, pricing control and new pricing concepts
- Evaluate performance of distribution channels and reduce the cost of distribution by finding less expensive means of delivering business
- Prepare outline and support the annual budget process
- Work in liaison with operations, sales & marketing and finance as a team to maximise revenue
What you will bring:
- 5+ years hands-on Revenue Management experience
- Hotel or Holiday Park environments, across multiple properties desirable, however, not essential.
- Financial/ modelling experience preferred (e.g. revenue optimisation models).
- Tertiary qualifications in Revenue Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Accounting will be highly regarded
- Ability to communicate, implement, maintain & measure strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen that enable decision making
- Effective leadership ability and communication skills to effectively coordinate a team
- Love working within a team but can also keep focus when autonomy and confidentiality is required
- Experience with Revenue Management software (desirable)
- Ability to think strategically and translate this thinking into measurable actions
