About the Role
The Northport Café Attendant works alongside the Café Supervisor and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests and visitors. Ensuring that we stay true to our core promise of ‘Sharing Special Places and Shaping Lasting Memories’ with each and every customer interaction.
Full Time and Part-Time contracts available. The Initial contract for our Part-Time role will be offered for the summer season between September 2024 to April 2025.
The successful applicant can expect their duties to be varied and include, but not be limited to:
- Delivering exceptional and engaging guest experiences and consistent service
- Taking and serving customer orders
- Operation of coffee machine and other café equipment
- Preparing, presenting, and cooking food, including maintaining food displays to a high standard
- Assisting with café menu development
- Helping to ensure café operation runs smoothly
- Cleaning of Café & Kitchen work area as required
- Processing customer purchases through POS system accurately and correctly
- Ensuring that the terminal’s tables, chairs and dining area remain clean and tidy at all times
- Adherence of operational procedures and WHS requirements
To be successful in this position you will need:
- A relevant qualification in Hospitality or equivalent experience - highly regarded
- SITHFAB021- Responsible Service of Alcohol or Approved Bar Managers highly regarded
- Food Handling Certificate
- HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Barista Training - highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in fast paced customer service environments.
- A strong personal commitment to excellent customer service
- Good understanding of coffee & food preparation and service
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety, Food Handling and Hygiene requirements & guidelines
