Your Role
Our client, a leading player in the beef processing, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Fitter to join their team. Based in Pakenham VIC, this full-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the production facilities by performing preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on a range of machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Attend to the preventative maintenance of plant machinery and equipment in a timely and professional manner.
• Diagnose and repair production machinery parts, and respond to breakdowns with urgency to minimize downtime.
• Maintain the Rendering Plant, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure all tools are properly maintained and that no tools are left in production areas.
• Work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems to support the smooth operation of the plant.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding as required for repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to all company systems, standards, policies, and procedures, including Occupational Health and Safety and HACCP requirements.
Skills & Experience
• Relevant mechanical trade qualifications in Fitting & Turning/Machining
• Strong aptitude in pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding (MIG and TIG).
• Proficient in fault finding and repairs of production machinery.
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a strong sense of teamwork.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
This full-time position is being offered between $73,150 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.
