Polyglot’s Marketing Specialist is instrumental in developing and maintaining Polyglot’s public image and increasing its overall brand awareness among prospects and potential partners. The role is responsible for executing our public and media relations strategies and outreach.
The main responsibility is to nurture our strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image for Polyglot by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs.
In collaboration with the Global Head of Marketing and the Marketing team, this role develops, implements, tracks and optimises PR campaigns across all markets and channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Public Relations
The Marketing Specialist acts as the brand voice and is responsible for executing the day-to-day performance of public and media relations activities. He/she will:
Collaborate with the Marketing team in order to:
- Implement a PR plan – including strategy, goals, budget and tactics – to promote Polyglot’s services to clients and prospects.
- Develop processes for activities including media tracking, coverage reporting, document organisation, note-taking, social media, etc.
- Contribute in developing a media relations strategy
- Design, build and maintain Polyglot’s social media presence
- Assist with coordinating and posting communications on Polyglot Group’s social media platforms.
- Write, edit and distribute press releases, by-line articles and keynote presentations to reflect Polyglot's position and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain media lists and assist with the tracking of media inbounds.
- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media in local, national and international markets.
- Monitor, track and analyse media coverage and distribute related reports.
- Establish relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness.
- Evaluate opportunities for and assist in coordinating partnerships, sponsorships and advertising opportunities on an on-going basis.
- Research and assist in drafting submissions for directories and awards.
- Collaborate with state offices and key supporters on PR opportunities and events.
- Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis.
2. Market Watch
The Marketing Specialist is accountable for having an in-depth understanding of Polyglot’s operations, clients, related industries etc. He/she will:
Research and maintain a keen understanding of key industry trends and HR-related topics affecting clients and prospects as well as make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
3. Internal Communication & Employer Branding
The Marketing Specialist is involved in managing and improving internal communication in order to increase employee engagement and shape Polyglot Group’s culture. He/she will:
- Collaborate closely with the HR Department in order to help shape the “Polyglotter Experience” through unique communications, experiences and events.
- Develop and implement communication plans to support short and long-term internal culture and people initiatives and drive desired behaviours across the company.
- Work closely with the Marketing and HR Departments to identify and execute the best mix of communication channels and messaging styles to broadcast content across the company.
- Develop and implement key programs and activities to foster employee engagement.
- Support events and launches, from planning to execution.
4. Executive Personal Branding
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating, developing and promoting the CEO’s personal brand which means he/she will:
- Monitor and coordinate our CEO’s social media presence and public persona.
- Coordinate our CEO’s key meetings and projects.
- Field, track and help evaluate executive speaker opportunities for Polyglot Group’s CEO (e. g. TED Talks, FABWA events etc.).
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIRED
- A Bachelor in marketing with a minimum of two years’ experience.
- Project Management: Coordinating resource allocation, risk management, budgeting, priority management and change management.
- Passion: Hunger for an exciting opportunity; ready to roll up your sleeves and dig in!
- Flexible / Easy-Going: A willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly.
- Problem Solving: Attention to details, creativity, reasoning, assertiveness, flexibility to try new approaches.
- Listen, write, speak: Proficiency in the English language; knowledge of a second language is not a requirement, but beneficial.
- Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally.
