Annual salary: $70,000 to $75,000
Location : 4 Keith Lane, Fannie Bay, NT 0820
Reports to : Bar Supervisor
Duty hours : one for lunch shift and another one for dinner shift (38 hours per week)
Job Purpose
Waiter Supervisor coordinates and supervises the activities of the waitstaff to ensure exceptional service delivery. They ensure the efficient and effective running of the shift, maintain the highest standards of service and hospitality at all times, and work closely with the F&B and management teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage staff roster to ensure that staff report for work in accordance with the roster and the standards of appearance.
Liaise with the Bar Supervisor and/or Managers on a daily basis to confirm requirements or changes to daily operation (eg staffing, table plans, and lay-up, menu and standards)
Daily liaise with chefs with regards to menu offerings (availability or any changes)
Conduct regular inspections of dining areas to determine whether proper standards of hygiene and sanitation are maintained
Ensure restaurant is correctly set up for each shift to the required standard
Assist in welcoming and seating of guests when required
Ensure that meals and beverages are served on time and presented based on restaurant’s set standard for quality and delivery
Acknowledge and manage feedback on food quality and service
Resolve or escalate customer complaints in a professional manner
Ensure revenue reconciliation is correct and complete at the end of each shift
Assist in screening, interviewing, hiring, and training restaurant staff.
Contribute to a more efficient and effective cost and waste management
Skills and Qualities
Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership abilities with a hands-on approach
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in customer service
Proficiency in basic computer applications for administrative tasks
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
A positive attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a team-oriented work environment
