About the Position:
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator who specialises in Structural Steel Trades. This role focuses on fabricating and repairing metal structures using structural steel and various metal stocks on construction sites.
Annual salary :
$75,000 plus super.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Analyse and understand technical drawings, plans, and requirements for each project.
• Select and prepare the appropriate metal materials for fabrication tasks.
• Accurately cut metal into desired shapes and sections using manual and mechanical cutting tools.
• Precisely align and arrange metal parts for assembly using specialised instruments and tools.
• Shape and bend metal sections and parts into the required form using hand and machine tools.
• Ensure the metal does not come into contact with other components that can cause rust.
• Conduct thorough inspections to guarantee the final products meet or exceed industry benchmarks.
• Collaborate effectively with the team to complete projects promptly and safely.
• Maintain a tidy and systematic workspace.
• Strictly follow all health and safety guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant hands-on experience.
• A valid Driver’s Licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Expertise in using power tools and standard fabrication machinery.
• Ability to mentor and guide apprentices in the trade.
• Keen eye for detail with a dedication to delivering top-notch work.
• Strong ethical work standards with a focus on safety.
