We are currently looking for a Glass industrial Production Manager to join our team.
We are looking for an energetic team member who has experience in the glass industry and knows about glass cutting machines, edging machines, tempering furnaces and hollow lines.
About the role
You will be responsible for the team attending to their allocated activities associated within the processing facility including glass manufacturing, budget management, cost controlling, inventory management, operation of machinery, glass dispatching and customer services. Working alongside other Production Managers, you will provide guidance and direction to line leaders. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome candidates from all backgrounds meets requirements.
You may be required to work an early shift (7am start) Monday – Friday. Subject to production needs, occasionally it is necessary to work weekends and public holidays, and these are rotated among Production Managers. You will need to have some flexibility around your start and finish times to meet the needs of the business.
Your tasks and responsibilities (but not limited to):
? Leading and monitoring the production team in Safety, Quality and Operational outputs daily
? Keeping track of Glass inventory levels daily and weekly. Ensuring the stock level up to date and providing detailed inventory information to support office and sales team to set up new orders.
? Planning details of glass manufacturing activities, allocating resources effectively and ensuring efficient utilisation to achieve production objectives in line with labour budgets (time and cost).
? Monitoring daily production outputs and costs, aiming to increase production throughout while minimising waster and meet quality standards.
? Training on-site operators on the operation and precautions of electrical appliances and constant temperature conditions to ensure the maintenance of angle furnace and tempering furnace.
? Cooperating with other Production managers about daily glass dispatching. Monitoring the feedback from the customer and providing effective customer services.
? Reviewing the production records and the financial report alongside other Production Managers; support General Manager in budget management and cost control to ensure production goals are met.
? Managing positive stakeholder relationships within the site and across the business by establishing effective processes and systems
To be successful in this role, you will have:
? Experience in the glass industry or knowledge of glass technology
? Experience with high-speed intelligent double grinding production line
? Experience with special insulating glass production line and automatic connection
? Knowledge of financial report since regular reviewing and overseeing production and cost report is necessary.
? Understanding of Sydney Metro area dispatching
? Experience in dealing with emergency since the glass industry have potential of injury. First Aid certification or equivalent is required.
? Possess multilingual skills, which will facilitate daily communication with international offices in China and Australia, in the role of Production Manager
? Able to travel frequently
