General Technical is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) with clients across Australia.
We are looking for a versatile and experienced Web and Systems Administrator to manage our clients’ IT infrastructure and web presence.
This role requires a professional who is equally skilled in maintaining systems and ensuring websites are secure, functional, and optimized. You will be integral in supporting the IT needs of our clients.
This role involves regular travel to regional Western Australia.
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive and timely technical support and guidance to our clients.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Manage network servers, technology tools, and security configurations.
• Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity for all IT systems.
• Implement security measures and manage access controls across all systems.
• Work collaboratively to design and deploy new systems and infrastructure.
• Document system configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize websites to deliver a seamless user experience.
• Monitor and analyze website performance, implementing enhancements for speed and efficiency.
• Ensure website security by managing access controls, performing regular security audits, and applying updates and patches.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience in both Web Administration and Systems Administration roles.
• Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Joomla, Drupal) and web security protocols.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with network management (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewall) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and SEO best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve both web and IT infrastructure issues effectively.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Internet Webmaster, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, CompTIA Server+) are a plus.
Salary: $78,125 + superannuation.
