The production Manager is a key member of the Operations team with responsibility in manufacturing plant. This is a people and results focused role, with the emphasis on safety, quality, engagement & culture, plan delivery and sustainable cost management and waste reduction.You will develop team performance through training, empowerment and accountability in order to deliver compliance to safety, quality, plan attainment and cost standards and contribute to the delivery as per the plan.Specifically, you will:
Ensure team compliance to Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Safety Health and Environment procedures and legislative requirements.
Embrace methodologies to sustain behaviours and processes that support a safety culture of zero incidents.
Demonstrate commitment to health and safety through participation in formal and informal discussions, workplace visits and hazard inspections, etc.
Develop SWP's and implement including training staff as required.
Ensure compliance with required Quality, GMP, Hygiene and Food Safety policies, standards and procedures, BRC
Deliver daily production plan - managing safety, quality and costLiaise with maintenance on root cause analysis on plant stoppages.
Identify and deliver Lean initiatives Promote continuous improvement culture in teamSeek opportunities to optimise labour model to deliver efficiency improvements.
Ensure leadership behaviours are consistent with the vision, goal and priorities of the site, multi skilling
Ensure development plans are in place, capability needs are assessed and development initiatives are planned and executed against specific business needs.
Ensure the team values are followed at all times within the Operations Management team.
Build and maintain positive delegate and union relationships
To be successful in this role you will need:
3+ years in Production Manager managing crackers/ Chocolate Biscuits and Cookies
