Position: Newtown Community Lunches Team Leader Program Area: Community Engagement Purpose / Objective To coordinate, schedule and provide support at ASCs Community Lunches at our Newtown office & Auburn Centre for Community. Reports to: Community Participation Lead Commitment Period: Minimum of 3 months Days and hours required per week: Weekly commitment onsite: Tuesdays am - 2.00pm, Newtown OR Wednesdays am - 2.00pm, Auburn OR Thursdays am - 2.00pm, Newtown OR Fridays - 2.00pm, Newtown Applicants are welcome to nominate multiple days Duties & Responsibilities
Welcome lunch volunteers and support them to create a warm, welcoming space for community members and diners
Brief / remind the team on the purpose of ASC Community Lunches, including tips on communicating with people seeking asylum and maintaining boundaries.
Set up the kitchen and support lunch volunteers to prepare, deliver, serve and store food to Food
