Who we are The Water Reform Division provides policy advice to implement significant water reforms including delivering the Murray-Darling Basin Plan, efficient and effective water markets, amendments to the Water Act and strategic alignment of water science. The Economics, Evidence and Engagement Branch sits within the Water Reform Division. The branch supports the implementation of the MurrayDarling Basin Plan by bringing together and analysing economic and scientific evidence and local knowledge to inform policies and programs. The Branch is responsible for commissioning research, engaging with stakeholders and synthesising analysis for key decisions, in particular relating to remaining water recovery under the MurrayDarling Basin Plan.
