Data Engineer - Azure Stack - Permanent - Up to $150k + super

We are currently partnering with a medical device and services manufacturer in the Macquarie Park area who are seeking a data engineer with skills in data modelling and warehousing methodologies.

Your new role:
The data engineer will be responsible for maturing data and analytics capabilities through the maintenance & uplift of a data warehouse, as well as building reports and contributing to a national data strategy. Working alongside architects and senior stakeholders, you will get the chance to contribute to these discussions and develop your experience in data warehouse solution design and development.
What you'll need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in computer or software engineering
Sound knowledge and minimum 5 years' experience working in Azure - they are a Microsoft stack organisation
Data warehouse migration experience, both from on premise to cloud, and cloud-to-cloud
Min 3 years' experience in data solution design and data modelling
Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI
Deep knowledge of programming in Python with PySQL or PySpark
Exceptional knowledge in database management systems
Experience working in Agile, Azure DevOps and CI/CD
Hands-on Power BI knowledge
Strong communication skills - you will be presenting and guiding senior stakeholders in this role
Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship
Desired, but not essential:
Experience building ML models
Microsoft certifications, ideally in Azure & Power BI
Hands-on Data Management & Governance experience (Purview)
