We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Full-Time Dentist to join our team and contribute to our mission of enhancing oral health and well-being.

Position Overview:
As a Full-Time Dentist at Warrnambool Dental, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of dental conditions. You will provide preventive, restorative, and surgical dental care, while also managing a skilled dental team and educating patients on oral health practices. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining high standards of dental care and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnosis and Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of dental conditions using various diagnostic methods, including X-rays, saliva tests, and medical histories.
• Preventive Care: Offer preventive dental treatments such as managing gum disease, administering fluoride treatments, and promoting overall oral health.
• Restorative Treatments: Provide complex restorative procedures including implants, crowns, bridges, orthodontics, and repair of decayed or damaged teeth.
• Oral Surgery: Perform oral surgical procedures, such as tissue biopsies, and prescribe medications as needed.
• Orthodontics: Carry out routine orthodontic procedures to address misalignment and improve dental function.
• Prosthetics: Restore oral function using both removable and fixed dental prostheses.
• Health Monitoring: Assist in identifying general health conditions that may have oral manifestations, such as diabetes.
• Patient Education: Educate patients on best practices for oral hygiene and dental care to promote long-term health.
• Team Management: Oversee a dental team that may include dental hygienists, dental therapists, dental assistants, and other dental specialists to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry or equivalent qualification. Specialist qualifications or further training in specific areas of dentistry will be highly regarded.
• Registration: Current AHPRA registration and relevant professional indemnity insurance.
• Experience: Proven experience in general dentistry with a demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of dental procedures. Experience in managing a dental team is preferred.
• Skills: Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, proficiency in various dental treatments and procedures, and excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Personal Attributes: Highly motivated, with a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Ability to work collaboratively with a dental team and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
