Croda Australia is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Manager to drive our organization's strategic vision and operational excellence. This key role involves defining objectives, strategies, and policies that align with our overarching goals while providing comprehensive management and direction to the sales office. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, enabling them to influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is the most senior position within the sales office providing leadership and strategic direction (up to 3 years), influencing peers, sector board and executive members to promote inward investments in new products, processes and assets. Use influence to gain support for required change and ensure that any new external policies take into account the needs of the sales office. Responsible for the results of the office on sales, expenses/costs and profits.

Accountable for all operational aspects of the office, customers service, stock management, purchasing policy, finance, administration, fiscal, warehousing and local transports.

To be the final responsible person to achieve the Business Objectives and KPI's set by the sector board. To lead, manage and develop the local Sales Team to ensure the correct development of the commercial strategy established by relevant Sales and Marketing VP's and that the targets are reached.

Ensure that appropriately skilled personnel are employed within the sales organisation to satisfy current and future needs, as well as ensuring that succession and coaching is provided to deliver/maintain the correct organisational structure. Responsible to apply local employment law and to implement Croda HR and group policies. The job holder leads and manages all aspect related to people management like development, motivation, discipline, organisation, training, perfomance, appraisals etc.

Responsible for monitoring developments and best practise in the external environment which could be implemented to improve business operation.

The role has a high level of authority, accountability and opportunity for key business decision making including the management and minimisation of risk and assurance of legal compliance. Additionally the role defines and proposes appropriate remuneration and reward for sales office employees which are then ratified by the relevant Sector Board member.

Influence, coach and develop at all levels within the organisation and to operate across business units as required. Additionally challenge individuals to exhibit exceptional performance, monitor progress and plan for the future.

A proven professional and personal capability to deliver results through others. High ethical standards, Challenging of others and current practices. Consistent in approach towards people and issues, capable of disconnecting from conflicting personal and professional issues to make the correct decsion.

Experience/exposure across numerous business areas. Skilled in leadership and strategy development. Excellent communicator at all levels. High stress tolerance. Excellent judgement and decision making.

Consistent in approach towards people and issues, capable of disconnecting from conflicting personal and professional issues to make the correct decision.

People management of a diverse workforce.

Communicate serious issues and recommended actions to Sector Board and Executive.

Safety

Establish a SHE Policy with clear commitments and objectives.

Ensure the sufficient resources are made available for the oversight of Safety Management Systems Designate responsibilities and authorities for resources to successfully work toward set organisation commitments and objectives

Ensure a committee is erected to allow a forum for the two-way communication of Safety matters Oversee the regular reporting of Safety Performance at the organisation.

Quality

Establish a Quality Policy with clear commitments and objectives.

Ensure the sufficient resources are made available for the oversight of Quality Management Systems Designate responsibilities and authorities for resources to successfully work toward set organisation commitments and objectives

Ensure a committee is erected to allow a forum for the two-way communication of Quality matters Oversee the regular reporting of Quality Performance at the organisation.

Environmental

Establish a Environment Policy with clear commitments and objectives.

Make available the necessary resources for the positive contribution of the ANZ operations to the Global Strategy (carbon neutral by 2030).

Ensure the sufficient resources are made available for the oversight of Environment Management Systems Designate responsibilities and authorities for resources to successfully work toward set organisation commitments and objectives

Ensure a committee is erected to allow a forum for the two way communication of Environment matters Oversee the regular reporting of Environment Performance at the organisation.

Qualifications:

Degree level education in a technical or business discipline.

Further business qualification or experience an advantage eg MBA, Post Grad Diploma
