About Client: -
Our client, Australia Disability Services Pty Ltd dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive community for individuals with disabilities. It offers a comprehensive range of services encompassing daily tasks, shared living, travel assistance, household chores, innovative community programs, specialized disability services, high-level personal activity assistance, life skills development, community engagement, therapeutic support, and group center activities.

Looking for: -
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Services Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with disabilities by coordinating and delivering a variety of services aimed at promoting independence, inclusion, and overall well-being.

Roles and Responsibilities: -
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and abilities.
• Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate and facilitate access to a range of support services, including healthcare, education, employment, and community resources.
• Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they receive appropriate and timely services.
• Foster partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community groups to create inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
• Organize and participate in community events that promote awareness and understanding of disability issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
• Prepare regular reports on service delivery, outcomes, and challenges.
• Provide guidance and support to clients in developing life skills and achieving personal goals.
• Implement strategies to enhance clients' self-advocacy and decision-making abilities.

Skills and Attributes: -
• Diploma, Advance diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in disability services or a similar field.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to disability services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of individuals with disabilities.

Job Type & Salary: -
• This is a full-time permanent job.
• The base salary will be AUD 70,000- AUD 75,000.

Working Hours: -
Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
