We have an exciting opportunity available for a Field Operative to join the APA Networks team in Rockhampton on a Permanent fulltime basis.
Reporting to the Supervisor - Field Services, you will play a key role in the safe and timely delivery of field activities in relation to the operation, repair and maintenance of the gas distribution network and underground gas pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the crew leader, work efficiently to repair gas leaks including emergency repairs, carrying out construction and alteration of mains and services
Safely use all types of manual and mechanically operated equipment associated with excavation work, e.g. excavator, shovels and jackhammers, and compaction equipment, etc.
Perform routine checks using all types of equipment associated with gas reticulation e.g. pipe & cable locators,
