Located in the scenic heart of Phillip Island, M & O Cafe has become a cornerstone of local gastronomy since its establishment. Position: Café Manager

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaboratively develop seasonal menus with our Chef, ensuring they reflect the cafe's commitment to Australian culinary diversity and quality.
• Plan and execute special events and functions that highlight the cafe's unique offerings and enhance customer engagement.
• Manage procurement and pricing strategies to align with the cafe's budgetary guidelines and quality standards.
• Oversee inventory management and maintain meticulous records of financial transactions and stock levels to ensure operational efficiency.
• Ensure all dining and kitchen areas adhere strictly to health regulations, maintaining an environment that is clean, appealing, and functional.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback on their dining experience, aiming to continuously improve service and satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, and manage a dynamic team of service and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• May also handle reservations, welcome guests, and assist in order processing during peak hours.

Work Hours: This is a full-time role, typically requiring 38 hours per week.

Salary: An annual salary range of $70,000 to $80,000, plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must possess at least an AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field, and have a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience in a cafe or restaurant setting.
