About the Role: Get paid up to $30/hr, ideally works for 15 – 20 hours a week or more depending on you, or a flexibility of 4-7 floor shifts at before and after school care. Permanent and part time position would be ideal, but someone who'd like to remain casual in the role are welcome to apply! Support the coordinator in delivering the day-to-day program and activities, ensuring a nurturing environment for children's development. Step in as the responsible person in the absence of the coordinator and director, fostering a sense of security and continuity for the team and children. Qualifications (diploma/degree or working toward) are valued to fulfill this role effectively. Work as the second qualified staff member on floor shifts, contributing to a supportive and collaborative team dynamic. Prepare and run engaging activities as part of the program implementation, fostering creativity and joy in learning. Assist with the reflection process, offering support and guidance to unqualified educators, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere for professional growth. About the Service: Located at Kamba, ACT offering exceptional care and education for children. Our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program is licensed for 77 children, making it an essential and significant component of our local community. Offers a Fulltime, Part-time, or Casually for before and after school care for children Office hours; Before School Care: 7:00am –9:00am , After School Care: 3:00pm – 6:00pm. Operates under the My Time Our Place National Quality Framework, drawing on extensive experience and knowledge in school-aged care. Committed to continuous growth, it aims to become one of the region's most valued and respected services. The service focuses on creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for children to learn and offers diverse programs tailored to children's developmental needs during school hours. A team of qualified educators ensures high-quality care and education, and actively engages with the local community to support children's development. The curriculum focuses on instilling important life skills and values in children. About You: Proven experience in a childcare or OSHC setting, demonstrating competence in supporting daily operations and activities. Ideally holds a qualification in childcare or related field, with relevant experience and willingness to learn. Capable of stepping in as the person responsible in the absence of the coordinator and director, ensuring continuity and reliability in the team's dynamic. Willingness to work as the second qualified staff member on floor shifts, contributing to a supportive environment for children and staff alike. Able to prepare and run engaging activities as part of the program implementation, fostering creativity and enjoyment in learning. Assists with the reflection process, offering support and guidance to unqualified educators, promoting a collaborative and growth-oriented atmosphere.
