Are you ready to lead a dynamic team in one of Australia's most vibrant regions? We're on the hunt for a visionary Manager to lead the Hedland Maritime Initiative in Port Hedland. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in an exciting project with significant commercial and community impact. About the Role: As the Manager, you will oversee the HMI team and the delivery of the Port Hedland Voluntary Buy-Back Scheme in the west end of Port Hedland. Your primary responsibility will be managing all commercial activities associated with this project, including procurement, contract development, property acquisition, and redevelopment. You will be at the forefront of forging strong relationships with stakeholders, government agencies, and industry partners to ensure smooth operations and high engagement levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety and People Leadership:

Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace that prioritizes mental health and well-being.
Implement continuous improvements in safety and inclusion, adhering to organizational frameworks.
Lead by example in promoting a positive and collaborative work culture.

Integrated Management Systems:

Develop and oversee systems ensuring compliance with legal, statutory, and organizational requirements.
Maintain commitment to ISO Management Systems including Quality, Environment, Safety, and Information Security.
Implement best commercial practices, providing training and guidance to the team.

Leadership & Service Facilitation:

Inspire and lead the team to foster a solutions-focused and high-performance environment.
Manage recruitment, performance, and retention of personnel to uphold organizational values.
Partner with internal teams on employee matters, ensuring effective relations and support programs.
Provide strategic advice and manage the annual operating and capital budgets.
Contribute to corporate leadership efforts, promoting the organization's values.

Agreement Negotiation & Management:

Lead the negotiation, award, and delivery of agreements, including contracts, leases, and licenses.
Oversee procurement processes, contractor agreements, and property acquisitions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant requirements and continuously improve commercial processes.

Contract and Agreement Oversight:

Manage contractor and service provider agreements to ensure compliance and performance.
Oversee contract fee reviews, expirations, renewals, and insurance provisions.
Provide expert guidance on managing a diverse range of agreements within the project portfolio.

Selection Criteria:
Qualifications:

Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law, or a related discipline.
