Our client, Murray Valley Aboriginal Cooperative, is currently looking for a Child Care Centre Manager to join the team on a full-time basis. The care centre is a not-for-profit organisation that provide a diverse range of programs from childcare, kindergarten, health, medical, well-being, housing and aged care for the Aboriginal people.
Located at Robinvale, Victoria, Murray Valley Aboriginal Cooperative focuses on self-determination, empowerment and resilience.
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Creating and executing initiatives to support the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of young children.
• Offering child care services in various settings including before-school, after-school, daycare, and vacation care programs.
• Overseeing and guiding Child Carers in their duties to ensure proper care and supervision of children.
• Ensuring the centre remains a secure environment for children, staff, and visitors.
• Adhering to applicable government regulations and standards.
• Communicating with parents to address their concerns and keep them informed.
• Managing the centre’s records and financial accounts.
• Hiring new staff and organising their professional development.
• Evaluating and improving program effectiveness to meet the needs of children and families.
• Coordinating with community resources to enhance support services and opportunities for children.
• Implementing strategies for addressing and resolving any issues or conflicts within the centre.
Qualifications:
• Must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher qualification.
• Should have at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
