Are you a passionate and experienced cook looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills? Our restaurant is seeking a dedicated cook to join our team. We offer a competitive salary range of $74,000-$84,000 AUD plus superannuation for the right candidate.
About the Role
Working at our restaurant, you will be responsible for:
- Menu Planning & Development: Creating innovative and seasonal dishes and reflect our
restaurant's unique style.
- Food Preparation & Cooking: Preparing and cooking high-quality meals using fresh, locally
sourced ingredients, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish.
- Kitchen Management: Overseeing kitchen operations, including inventory management,
ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
- Team Leadership & Training: Leading and mentoring kitchen staff, fostering a positive and
collaborative work environment, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Quality Control & Presentation: Ensuring all dishes are presented impeccably and meet our
high standards of taste and quality.
Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Relevant Qualifications: A qualification in cookery or culinary arts (Certificate III inCommercial Cookery or equivalent).
- Experience: At least three years of professional cooking experience in a reputable restaurant
or similar establishment.
- Culinary Skills: Able to manage up to 50+ customers each seating. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices. Expertise in a variety of cuisines is an advantage.
- Creativity & Innovation: A passion for creating new dishes and an eye for detail in food presentation.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team. Strong communication skills are essential.
- Time Management & Efficiency: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
