About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and driven Clinical Coder to join our Medical Records team. This role is vital in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data management processes. You will contribute to the high standards of patient care by accurately coding medical records and supporting the hospitals operational needs.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Read and analyze medical records to correctly identify all diagnoses, co-morbidities, procedures, causes of injury, trauma, poisoning, and allied health interventions.
Achieve precise coded data by referring to ACS and Coding Rules published by ACCD, reviewing laboratory and radiology results, and clarifying ambiguous documentation with medical officers.
Assist in coding all separations by the 5th working day of the following month, participate in internal coding audits, and meet daily coding targets.
Complete forms as required and ensure accurate filing and reporting.
