Position Title: Full Time Accountant
Salary: $76,076 + Superannuation
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, and variance analysis to budget and forecast.
• Preparation of annual forecasts and operational and capital budgets
• Leading the relationship between our business and external agents ( Australia and overseas) /Tax Accountants/Financial Institutions and Government agencies.
• Manage the Company’s Forex Transactions on International trade.
• Supervise the Bookkeeper in Managing the General Ledger/Payroll/ Debtors control/Product costing.
• Liaising with Store Mangers in relation to order quantities/ Lead times and logistics to control stock holding costs.
• Maintain Internal Financial control on all business locations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
It is expected that this role can demonstrate the following:
Essential requirements
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within the accounting industry
• Tertiary qualification in accounting or commerce
• Strong excel skills, including financial modelling and analysis
• Experience using accounting software(s) Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet plus XERO, MYOB, Reckon Elite and BGL360 accounting packages
• Self-directed, highly motivated, reliable and willingness to work as part of a team
• Experience with monthly financial reporting and related reconciliations processes
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Preparedness to be very hands on in the role
• Be able to lead by example – possess a “Can do attitude” & develop staff accordingly
